Some of our treatment methods
MYOFASCIAL DRY NEEDLING
Small diameter, single use, sterile needles are used to penetrate the skin for the treatment of trigger points (hyperirritable spots within skeletal muscle), and other painful musculoskeletal conditions.
Dry needling stimulates the brain to release certain chemicals that have an analgesic effect, whilst effectively de-activating trigger points, increasing blood flow, and restoring correct muscular patterns. Electro-stimulation may also be attached to the needles to maximise results.
Dry needling can allow greater access to some trigger points, however cupping or manual therapies are still good alternative treatment modalities, especially for those with needle phobias.

MYOFASCIAL CUPPING
Myofascial cupping may be used for stagnant blood circulation, trigger points, and abnormal muscle contraction. Cupping involves the placement of warmed glass cups or suction cups over the skin which creates a vacuum effect on the skin, causing blood vessels to dilate, and the release of waste products.
Waste products from the blood and muscle can rise to the skin causing it to darken. The darker the colour produced, the more waste is present.
The cups may be slowly and carefully moved over areas of increased muscle contraction to help it relax.
